General Residency Interview Questions 1

You can be asked a multitude of questions. A lot of those will be regarding you application materials.


General Tips: 
1)Make sure you remember the information mentioned in your application really well

2)You will be asked questions about your experiences in your personal statement for sure
    For example
    If you mentioned any interesting case, you will be asked questions about it. You have to defend
   your "case", that why was it interesting, what did you learn from it, how was it diagnosed and
   how was it treated.
   Make sure you know what is the standard of care for that particular in terms of both diagnosis
   and treatment. If you are an IMG and saw the case in your country, you could be asked, if you
  were in USA, what would you have done differently.

3)You will be asked about your RESEARCH if you have mentioned experience in your CV
   Some interviewers, specially those with research background can go into a lot of detail about
   your research question, methodology, patient population (in case of clinical research), data
   collection, bias, etc


4)A lot of times you will be asked about your travel experience and plan for the interview, your
   impressions of the town/city (where you are interviewing). IMGs can be asked about their
   stay in united states in general, what city they are staying in and what activities they have
   been doing in USA. These question are mostly to start a conversation, make the applicant
   feel at ease and get a general impression. Positive attitude (even to a negative experience)
   is alway appreciated.

5)US Clinical Experience
   If you are an IMG you will certainly be asked about clinical experience in United States if
   that is mentioned in your application.
